Unable To Access The Audio Codec Drivers For Mac
Hello!
I successfully installed Mac OS X Yosemite on the Asus x302la with all disabled devices in BIOS(if some device enabled during installation, then I get kernel panic). After OS X installation I installed kext for the network adapter using kext utility and enable network adapter in the BIOS, all ok. Now I trying to enable sound: I tried to install voodoohda using pkg. After that I tried to reboot my laptop, enable audio in BIOS and load Mac OS X, but during OS X booting I get: Any boot args like: -x, -v, -f, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, npci=0x2000 does not work. If I uncheck DSDT fix mask->Fix sound, then I get a terrible squeak during booting. I also tried to install voodoo manually, via kext utility and Multibeast, but it gave nothing. Also after rebooting(if I disabled audio in BIOS) I can't find VoodooHDA.kext in my /System/Library/Extensions, strange. I tried to patch my AppleHDA.kext using some other methods(sorry, I really don't remember them) but it also not works. And about my audio codec: if I do 'aplay -l' on Ubuntu, then I get: A few month ago I already installed exactly this OS X distribution on this laptop and audio worked fine, but I really forgot how I did this. So how can I patch OS X to use audio? Regards! P.S. I only now thought about that maybe I need to use FakeSMC or something like this, is that so? I really can't test it now, because I haven't access to my laptop right now. So what should I do to use audio? Audio Codec PackAudio Codec Mpeg![]() Sigmatel Audio Codec DriversComments are closed.
